Hobbiton

Over the summer holidays we had the good fortune of touring Hobbiton the starting point to the Fellowship of the Ring.

I myself, I have to admit, am not the biggest Lord of the Rings fan but our children have seen the movie numerous times. Kate currently is educating me in the intricacies of the plot. We were all blown away by the splendid and magical setting.

Here is a taste with more to come!

Are you a Lord of the Rings fan? I wasn't but I will now watch the movie with a lot more interest!

It looks beautiful there! Have never been there and can't say that I'm a Lord of the Rings fan. Well I've never seen the movies or read the books. We do have a board game - Risk Lord of the Rings, but it is far too strategic for me to play.

I don't know anything about Lord of the rings, except hobbits live there, I think. Did you see any hobbits? It looks very English scenically, I thought.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! for sharing the photos with us. I saw all three films of the book and it's so cool to see the photos.

I confess I know nothing about Lord of the Rings except, like John, I've heard of the hobbit. At least now you can identify with the film now you've seen Hobbiton.

We have seen all the films and loved them.
I always thought that Hobbiton would be such a lovely place to live. Must have been interesting to visit.
