Last year our family took a long awaited trip to the Bay of Islands. Jo had talked about taking the children there and ourselves as we knew it was so beautiful there as friends had told us. We flew to Auckland and hired a rental that took us up to Paihia where the girls and Jo had entered a sporting event. More about that later!
On the way we stopped at Parry's Kauri Park where we broke up the journey with a much needed walk.
While in Paihia we visited nearby Waitangi and experienced the atmosphere of this historical place for New Zealanders!
