Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday started off less than leisurely!

Having had a tough run up in the hills yesterday I had an 84 km [53 mile] time trial with 4 other cyclists under the expert guidance of our cycling coach. I completed the ride in 2:29! Not bad considering I rode half of it on my own!

The rest of the day was a lot more relaxed with a gentle walk down to our local located at the beach.

On arrival at the Waterfront Bar we discovered to our disappointment that it was closed to drinkers. Meals needed to be purchased to have a drink. How archaic I feel!

Instead we settled for an ice-cream!

The walk along the beach home was lovely as we watched the hundreds of beach goers enjoying their day!

It's great having Kate home for the term holidays!

Hope your Easter Sunday was a good one!

You were quite productive this weekend with your running and cycling. Lovely photos! Sounds like you and your family had a really nice relaxing day the rest of the day.

Nice place to spend the day. Loved the picture of the sea/yacht. Someone took a lot of trouble creating the sand castle(s).

It's just now Easter Morning for me and we will be going to my Mother-in-law's for a mid-day traditional Easter dinner. Scott (husband) is still sleeping and I'm enjoying a second cup of coffee. We had talked about taking a hike this morning but may just stay close to home for the morning. HAPPY EASTER!

I get exhausted just thinking about all the exercise you do.
EHS George and I spent a happy few hours wandering in the woods today.

The cycle sounds punishing and well done finishing it in good time.
Your walk looks lovely and that must be Kapiti in the background - it does indeed look like our Isle of Arran. Hope you have had a great day!!!
