Wordy Wednesday

Today has been very much a day of words!

Lea came over to help me type out 40 song lyrics that I had recorded on tapes years back. The originals had gone missing but thankfully I had the songs recorded on tape. It was required to go through the songs line by line so Lea could get the lyrics to include in a project I am really excited about.

Lea has gone to a lot of work to produce a surprise package for my birthday on the 13th of this month based on my music. Although I know it's coming I don't know what form it will take. I'm sure I will love it!

Here is a poem / song I wrote that I hope you all can appreciate on friendship! I have particularly chosen this one because I know it is one of Lea's favourites of my songs.

Never Go Away

Can't imagine how life would be
A large part missing lost from me
It brings me joy your face to see
Have dragged me out from solitary

CHORUS
I need you with me night and day
Always stay...never go away

Are there dangers more?  What lies off shore?
Will crashing waves thunder roar?
If I'm drowning in the sea will you rescue me?
Pull me to safety...smooth...gently

CHORUS

You came from the darkness...opened my eyes
From low down depths have begun to rise
Each moment...every day is full of surprise
We laugh in the face of the so called wise

CHORUS

Indeed a "wordy Wednesday" - 3,720 words to be exact :-).

I'm glad you haven't yet figured out what exactly I'm doing. But if you do - please don't tell me. I hope it will be worth the wait :-).

Yes, the song is absolutely one of my favourites! Absolutely love this song!!!
