Swimming Champs

Kate and Alice have been swimming in the Wellington Long Course Swimming Championships at Kilbirnie Pool, Wellington the last 2 days.

Both girls swam their best times in 50 Butterfly and 100 Butterfly! This swim meet was an important competition as Alice is finishing competitive swimming and Kate is off to Massey University to study Human Nutrition.

Alice has always been more passionate and successful in Traithlon and as previously reported is training hard for the Nationals. Kate has always been a passionate and dedicated swimmer and has had many regional medals and one National Junior medal.

Along with the Butterfly events Kate competed in the 200 Medley that is 50 Butterfly, 50 Backstroke, 50 Breaststroke and 50 Freestyle.

She finished in 5th place but was the 3rd 18+ years and therefore won a bronze medal.

Apologies for the poor quality of the photos.

Wow! Congrats to your girls. An amazing way to finish. Will be quite a change for you all not being part of competitive swimming anymore!
